Schoharie Valley Farms ...there is always something in season in our greenhouses. Our greenhouses are growing all year round. We begin the season with spring bulbs, bedding plants, vegetable plants, summer annuals, perennials, hardy mums and poinsettias.

There are picnic tables amongst the flowers so enjoy a farm fresh sandwich or salad while you enjoy the sites and smells of a working greenhouse.

We grow both for retail and wholesale markets. See our growing season chart!

March to April - The greenhouses will be full of spring bulbs and Easter flowers. We grow many varieties of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and crocus both for planting as well as cutting. We also carry Easter Lilies, spring mums and azaleas for the season.

May to July - Our greenhouses are overflowing with herbs, summer annuals, vegetables and perennials. We grow several unique hanging basket combinations, patio combinations and container gardens. We have succulents and most culinary herbs in containers and packs for your garden. Our vegetable varieties are both what we produce in our fields as well as the most common varieties for the home gardener. We do carry a wide range of heirloom tomato plants for the intermediate gardener as well.

August to October - Its time for fall mums at the end of June so they are ready for sale in August. We grow over fifty varieties of mums so you will have a huge selection of early, mid, late and season extending blooms, as well as a selection of cushion, button, spider and daisy type flowers.

November to December - The sea of poinsettias is a treat for your eyes in the winter months for the holidays. We have delicate white, pinks, marbles, speckled, splotched, red, burgundy and winter rose plants and always something new. As well as Christmas cactus and other unique holiday plants.

We grow a wide selection of all seasonal plants for our wholesale customers. We grow for local municipalities, landscapers, churches and other farm markets while offering competitive pricing. Please contact our greenhouse manager to obtain more information on our wholesale programs.
